The date for the Philippines project have now been confirmed for November and tickets have been purchased for a team of 9. Local media coverage organised by the Philippine Embassy in London

Reading Rotary Club are currently raising funds for a large installation project at Nayumbani, a new village caring for abandoned and orphaned HIV+ children in Kenya, being constructed 6 hours from Nairobi
10th November is the planned date for the Philippines project
The set of lights for Rwanda have been shipped and are currently en route to the Kagitumba Primary and Secondary School. We have been coordinating this venture with Edward Thomas in England and James Rubakisibo from Ruandese Health Environmental Project Interactive (RHEPI). Pictures of this installation to follow

Catherine Mulenga, who now lives in Swindon, came from near Twingi and was the person who initiated this project. Catherine was at Twingi last month and reports back that everyone is very excited about our visit and looking forward to having light.
Roger and Peter visit Kenya to install solar powered lighting to the Ngamani Primary School, Bonani Primary School and Malde Clinic. A wait of four days was endured for the equipment to get through customs. The charity was charged 66% import duty. The clinic, which deals with around 400 people a month with ailments like malaria and footworm, was attached to Bonani Primary School and took 4 hours to fit. They are now able to treat emergencies safely after sundown
Roger and Jean visit Kenya to hold two presentations with the Bahari Rotary Club. Ex-president of the club, Mr Shah, took them round the school projects they had completed
