A Classroom

One of the classrooms before we fitted the lights. These are the children who will directly benefit from the lights.

Getting the Power

The solar panels are fitted to the roof where they extract the power from the sun's constant rays.

Storing the Power

The solar panel on the roof charges this battery

Distributing the Power

We worked with local electricians to fit the boxes which send the power to the lights.

Hanging the Lights

Fitting ties into the walls allows us to string chord across the ceilings from which we hang the lights.

Let There Be Light

Lights are switched on. You can tell how much of a difference they will make when it is dark.

Making the Difference

Before we left, The schoolchildren performed a thank you dance to show their appreciation for all the donations involved in making and fitting their new lights.
